KeymasterA lot of skateboarders call longboarding “longboring” because most people cruise and don’t do typical skateboard tricks. But, longboarding has come a long way and has intense downhill races with 80mph skating, that’s an adrenaline rush on a plank of wood and 4 wheels last time I checked, and yet a lot of skaters still hate on the long version of the beloved sport.
In the beginning, Curt will tell you, skateboarding came from surfing, and the longboard aesthetic was a huge part of the decks and the styles, so even the roots of skateboarding have a longboard surfing feel.
What do you think? Are they different sports, or are they the same?
